Verdi’s Requiem is a powerful tribute to life eternal. Best known for the fateful drum strikes in its iconic Dies Irae, Verdi’s dramatic choral work offers a breathtaking journey through the stages of grief, ultimately ending in peaceful consolation. Music Director Franz Welser-Möst and The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus are joined by soprano Asmik Grigorian and other remarkable soloists for this transcendent masterpiece.
There will be a concert preview presentation one hour prior to the performance in Mandel Concert Hall with David Rothenberg, Professor of Music, Case Western Reserve University.
