Aaquib Wani has built his career on curiosity and a commitment to craft. Today, his creative practice—and his Delhi studio—reflect that spirit of constant reinvention.

Experiential designer and art director Aaquib Wani is obsessed with the way objects travel with people, carrying identity, culture and memory. They are things that have been touched, used and loved over time. You can see this in the pieces thoughtfully arranged throughout his studio in Soami Nagar: handmade papier-mâché lamps from Kashmir, antique collectibles from Kochi, bamboo pieces sourced from artisans in Goa, and customised furniture from Delhi's Amar Colony. Everywhere you turn, an object invites curiosity. The longer you speak with Aaquib, the clearer it becomes that these are traces of his fierce autodidactic labour.
