Battle: 1:01 - End
Strategy:
In this battle, I defeat Worker 7, poach both Hyudras, and retrieve all four hidden items on the map: Escutcheon, Javelin, Nagrarock, and Sasuke Knife.
1. Angel Rings or Calculate Raise 2 are good to have because it's likely you'll have a character or two knocked out.
2. Worker 7 can only take physical attacks. Magic has no effect on him.
3. You can use either use Reis or Worker 8 as a way to get your item retriever to the top of the two pillars. Since magic can be casted on Reis I chose her. Worker 8 is fine too.
4. I used Rafa (Brave = 11) to retrieve the items. Alternately, you can have Beowulf cast Chicken or have someone cast Foxbird or have a Mediator use Threaten to reduce someone's Brave to as close to 10 as possible and have them retrieve the items. I use Rafa for the Deep Dungeon, so I stuck with her. I made her Chemist/Time Mage, gave her Germinas Boots to get jump to 4, and equipped her with Move-Find Item.
5. In order to slow down Worker 7 and his attacks on you, equip someone in your party with Battle Skill (Knight) and ensure that they have Speed Break. I had Orlandu serve this purpose and gave him the Excalibur sword in order to get this done.
6. Make sure that as you are avoiding attacks from Worker 7 that you do not pen him inside the temple, especially if you have already started to reduce his speed. Your item retriever will have to get past him in order to retrieve the Nagrarock sword.
7. If you wish to poach the Hyudras, equip a couple of your characters with Secret Hunt (Thief).
This exciting battle is the best one in the Subquest.
