From crocodile-like predators that hunted on land to enormous reptiles and sharks that ruled prehistoric oceans, Earth was once home to creatures far more terrifying than anything alive today.
This video explores 25 terrifying extinct animals, including Quinkana, Utahraptor, Dunkleosteus, Deinosuchus, Titanoboa, Spinosaurus, Mosasaurus, Tyrannosaurus rex and Megalodon. Some lived alongside early humans, while others dominated the planet millions of years before our species appeared.
Using fossil discoveries and scientific estimates, we examine their enormous sizes, powerful jaws, deadly claws and hunting abilities. If these prehistoric predators still existed, which one would be the greatest threat to humans?
