A turned Arbutus Derby is the result of my attempt at a Bowler hat.
I quite enjoyed this project and I would imagine that I will do more of them in the future. I attempted a stand for it as well... also out of Arbutus but I am afraid that one has split quite severely... We'll just have to see where the cracking stops.
I am happy to say that the Derby, while warping a little... just to give it that broken in appearance... the cracks that were there when it was turned are the only ones that have appeared and they have stayed the same size as they were!!!
