After yesterday's excitement today has been somewhat of a battle with the technology that brings all this to you. Things crashing, cameras resetting, footage not recording - you get the idea. That's the excuse for the shorter video anyway! There's a brief glimpse egg at 5:42.
Our female bird seems to specialise in laying her eggs with the minimum of fuss. It's very difficult to identify the moment that it's happening so in fear of the entire internet shouting "Oh no it isn't" the 530am footage hasn't been included just in case you were wondering why.
She seems to be enjoying longer, more restful periods in the nest box in the afternoons of 15 or 20 mins and for some of that time she can't keep her eyes open. Fear not, our male is on patrole outside the box keeping his eyes open!
