I made this quick edit to show the difference between footage that is played back at 24 frames per second versus 48 frames per second. You can see that the 48 fps footage is smoother. I think it is most obvious with the scrolling text at the beginning and end of the video but it is also apparent throughout the video.

Make sure the video player quality is set to “720p48” or “1080p48” to get 48fps playback. If you don’t see those options, try using google chrome.

This skateboarding footage was filmed at 120 and 240 frames per second with a Sony FS700.
