Salem Community College and the SCC Foundation host the 22nd International Flameworking Conference, March 15-17, in the Samuel and Jean Jones Glass Education Center. World-renowned artist and SCC Distinguished Alumnus Paul J. Stankard founded the IFC in 2001 to promote excellence in flameworking to students. Paul now serves as the conference’s chair emeritus and advises Kristin Deady, the Assistant Dean of Glass Education.

Please join us on Friday, March 15 for a presentation on contemporary flameworking by curator, speaker and advocate for artists, Susie Silbert. The evening will also feature a screening of award-winning documentary filmmaker Dan Collins’ latest documentary, Paul Stankard: Flower & Flame. Our program will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Sol and Jean Davidow Performing Arts Theatre in Davidow Hall. Friday evening’s program is free and open to the public; no registration is required.
