This short video provides a short introduction to the 70th anniversary of Project Diana - the first time a radio signal was bounced off of the moon. Occurred on January 10th, 1946 at Camp Evans, part of Fort Monmouth in Wall Township NJ. The Ocean Monmouth Amateur Radio club put together a special event for the weekend of Jan 9-10, 2016, commemorating the 70th anniversary. moonbounce operations will be in operation on the 10th for as long as the moon is above the horizon for the 60' tracking dish.
