Most people are never taught that the essence of capitalism and free markets comes down to two rules:
1. Do all you agree to do.
2. Encroach on no one else's person or property.
Since no one follows these rules perfectly, and these two rules leave open the possibility to abuse charity, I add one more:
3. Pull your own weight first while always striving to improve.
This can be translated as always add value first.
These are all the rules of acquisition you need.
