The concert focuses on 20th century chamber music with works written for a diversity of combinations. This will feature a traditional duo with Poulenc’s Clarinet Sonata and Hindemith’s Violin sonata to the more unusual ensembles with two Vella works: Għanjiet op. 51 for Soprano, Percussion, Piano and ending with Riflessioni su un Tema di Stravinsky op. 107 for Woodwinds, Horn and Piano, based on a light-hearted sketch Stravinsky wrote on a postcard.
