Today we are showcasing the art created by David Mattingly for Toll of Honor by David Weber.
About the artist: David Mattingly was born in Fort Collins, Colorado, the last in a line of three brothers. Interesting fact: his dad was the inventor of the Waterpik.
He has produced a whole lot of book covers over the course of his career--and stopped counting at 2000. He’s done the most book cover work for us, and found a home at Baen Books. At Baen Books, the he is most known for is illustrating the New York Times bestselling "Honor Harrington" series for his good friend, author David Weber. He’s a two time winner of Magazine and Booksellers "Best Cover of the Year" award, and also won the Association of Science Fiction Artists "Chesley" award for his "Subway Wizard" painting.
