The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, hosts its official Change of Command ceremony, July 15, 2026.

During this time-honored military tradition, command of the Walla Walla District transfers between Lt. Col. Katie Werback and Lt. Col. Doug Droesch. The ceremony represents the formal transfer of authority and responsibility for the district's mission, personnel, and resources.

The Walla Walla District constructs, operates, maintains, and secures multipurpose infrastructure to energize the economy, reduce flood risk, and serve as stewards of water resources for the Snake River Basin and the Nation.
