In celebration of National Robotics Week, the Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition opened its doors to the public for the annual IHMC Open House. IHMC researchers and staff, along with community partners The West Florida Public Library, The University of West Florida, Pensacola State College, and The Pensacola MESS Hall, presented Pensacola residents of all ages with scientific, technical, and hands on demonstrations. IHMC also utilized the event to unveil it's Alex Humanoid Robotic Platform to local residents, and encouraged young attendees to design a conceptual robot head for future robots.
