Celebrating Lunar New Year and Black History Month
The Library’s annual joint celebration of Black History Month and the Lunar New Year returns to the Main Library.
The event opened with an interactive procession from the Main Library’s front steps with Duniya Dance and Drum Co., and Lion DanceME,

Opening ceremony with Michael Lambert San Francisco City Librarian and Mawuli Tugbenyoh Acting Executive Director of The San Francisco Human Rights Commission
San Francisco Poet Laureate, Genny Lim and Foothill College Poet Laureate, Marvin Hernandez Flores with a musical accompaniment by Francis Wong and David Boyce Duo
