2026 BYD Song Ultra EV
The 2026 BYD Song Ultra EV is a mid-size all-electric SUV developed on BYD’s advanced e-Platform 3.0 Evo architecture and positioned as a new-generation model within the Dynasty lineup. It features a rear-mounted single electric motor driving the rear wheels, delivering strong performance with two available power outputs. The base version produces around 240 kW (322 hp), while the higher-performance variant delivers 270 kW (362 hp). The SUV has an electronically limited top speed of about 210 km/h (130 mph), and the more powerful version can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in roughly 6 seconds, offering a balance of everyday practicality and sporty electric performance.
The Song Ultra EV is powered by BYD’s second-generation Lithium Iron Phosphate Blade Battery and supports an advanced 800-volt high-voltage charging system. Buyers can choose between two battery capacities: a 75.6 kWh pack providing a CLTC range of about 620 km (385 miles), or a larger 82.7 kWh battery capable of up to 710 km (441 miles) on a single charge. Thanks to its fast-charging capability, the SUV can recover approximately 350 km of driving range in just 10 minutes, while a charge from 30% to 80% takes around 30 minutes, making it highly convenient for long-distance travel.
In terms of size and features, the SUV measures approximately 4,850 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,670 mm in height, with a long 2,840 mm wheelbase that enhances cabin space and stability. Curb weight ranges from about 1,990 kg to 2,050 kg, depending on the battery configuration. Inside, the vehicle includes a 15.6-inch adaptive rotating touchscreen paired with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Unique highlights include a “Big Bed Mode” that allows the seats to fold flat into a large 1.8 m by 1.4 m sleeping area. The SUV is also equipped with BYD’s “God’s Eye” B (DiPilot 300) driver-assistance system featuring roof-mounted LiDAR and a 300 TOPS computing platform for advanced navigation-assisted driving. Ride comfort is further improved with the Yunlian-C (DiSus-C) intelligent damping control system. In China, the starting price is estimated at around 180,000 RMB (about $24,800 USD).
