This is the all-new 2026 BMW iX3, the first production model built on BMW’s Neue Klasse platform. It’s lighter, sharper, faster to charge, and packed with the new “Heart of Joy” central computing system. BMW says this isn’t just another EV—it’s the future of how their cars will drive and think. So I flew to Spain to find out if that’s actually true.
In this full review I test everything: acceleration, handling, regen braking, comfort, iDrive X, Panoramic Vision, Apple CarPlay integration, interior space, efficiency, highway driving, and even a full hot-lap session at Ascari. Spoiler: this thing surprised me.
