Janine Tremble grew up in Holden, Maine, and chose to make this community her home. She earned a degree in Retail Merchandising from the University of Maine and has built a career spanning marketing, public relations, and community engagement.
Before joining Maine Savings in 1998, Janine was the founder and partner in the public relations and marketing firm Collier & Tarr. Over her 28-year tenure at Maine Savings, she has held several key roles, and in 2023, she was promoted to Vice President of Community Engagement and Impact, a role that reflects her longstanding commitment and passion for community involvement.
Janine leads Maine Savings’ sponsorships and donations program, manages the employee volunteer initiative, and oversees the organization’s annual scholarship program. Last year, she was also instrumental in launching the Maine Savings Foundation and awarding its first Beyond Banking Grants in the fall.
An active community leader, Janine has served on numerous boards and committees. She has been a member of the Bangor Region YMCA Board of Directors since 2017 and currently serves as Board President. She is also a dedicated volunteer on the Alfond Classic Tournament committee, helping lead one of the largest annual fundraising events supporting UMaine athletics. She volunteers regularly throughout the community with organizations such as Good Shepherd Food Bank, Best Buddies, Sarah’s House, and Christine B Foundation.
