Sponsored by Raytheon, an RTX business, the 2025 west coast Autonomous Vehicle Competition was held at La Playa Stadium in Santa Barbara, California. Student Engineering Teams from 4 universities participated in a two semester project to design, develop, integrate, and compete two autonomous vehicles that could identify, communicate, and deliver a medical kit with the best accuracy and time. The winner of this year’s competition was the team from the University of California, Santa Barbara, mentored by Systems Engineering Fellow Ryan Conolley. Students competed from the following universities: University of California Santa Barbara, California State University, Long Beach, California State University, Fullerton, and California Polytechnic State University.
