The Quincy Institute presented its annual Award for Responsible Statecraft to Representatives Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) at an event in the nation’s capital last night.
The Quincy Award honors individuals who have significantly advanced QI’s mission of moving the United States away from a foreign policy of domination and war; Reps. Massie and Khanna were chosen to receive this year’s award for their cross-aisle efforts to rein in U.S. militarism and to restore Congress’ constitutional war powers.
In June 2025, Representatives Khanna and Massie introduced a resolution to prohibit U.S. military involvement in Iran, reasserting Congress’ sole power to declare war under Article I of the Constitution. The resolution garnered more than 75 co-sponsors.
