In this episode, we take delivery of our brand new 2025 FL5 Honda Civic Type R in Sonic Gray Pearl and immediately dive into transforming it with some of the most iconic JDM upgrades on the market. This build is all about refining the driving experience with JDM in mind.
We start things off with a full Tomei titanium exhaust system, shedding weight while unlocking a deeper, more aggressive exhaust note that perfectly matches the Type R’s character. From there, we move inside the cabin where the details truly come to life. The addition of a Mugen carbon steering wheel and matching carbon center console panel elevates both the look and tactile feel of the interior, giving it a true motorsport-inspired finish.
To further enhance driver engagement, we install the Acuity 4-way fully adjustable shifter, dialing in a more precise and customizable shifting experience. We also take care of everyday usability with a rear A/C vent system upgrade and a modern USB-C kit, blending performance with comfort and convenience.
This is just the beginning of our FL5 Type R build, and we’re only getting started. Stay tuned as we continue to push this platform further with more performance-focused upgrades and detailed installs.
