2025 was a hard year… both my husband and I were out of work for many months, and for the first time in a long while, aquariums took a back seat while we focused on simply getting through it.

Here’s my real-life 2025 aquarium recap — the tanks I decided to take down, the three I chose to keep, and why downsizing was necessary for my sanity. I also talk about the new fish and setups I did bring in later in the year, including species I’ve never kept before.
