A Lawrence, Kansas Community Police Review Board member who is also prominent person in the Black community initiated it...
A Sheriff Deputy (Mark Meher) ignored it... and ...
Not ONE of the three candidates for District Attorney sitting at the table were willing to stand for his rights.
Ms. Hill went so far as to purposely look away. (and then gets dismissive with me when questioned).
This is probably the single best example of the bias and intimidation he has experienced at the hands of local authorities that I could ever offer. If I hadn't been there... would he have been arrested again?
I'm disappointed in all of them. From the deputy, to the fool trying to silence him, on up to the candidates for public office who were in the room. Many more than the three speaking, Dg County commission candidates were in attendance as well.

Accountability requires your participation as a citizen. The United States Constitution expects a vigilant citizenry to enforce its doctrine. When the citizenry is distracted or lazy, subversion becomes the norm and rights are lost.
All that is required for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing
