Long-time North Country Assemblywoman Janet Duprey presented a distinguished public service award to fellow former Assemblywoman Teresa Sayward for her many years of dedicated work in the New York State Assembly.

Janet & the Clinton Community College Center for Governance hosted their 3rd Women in Local Politics forum on April 23rd. Other panelists includes Champlain Village Mayor Janet McFetridge, Dannemora Town Supervisor Deb Coryer, and Clinton County Area 6 Legislator Patty Waldron.

The forum was moderated by Mountain Lake PBS's Thom Hallock. The panel talked about the role of women in local government and politics, and whether the partisan, and deeply divided state of politics, nationally right now is something they have experienced at the state, or local level.
