Each year, local classical and jazz station WRTI, Jacobs Music Company, and J.W. Pepper partner with the PYO Music Institute to present the Ovation Award to recognize a Delaware Valley music teacher “for inspiration and outstanding leadership in music education.” Current and former students nominate teachers by writing an essay entitled “How Has Your Music Teacher Changed Your Life?”
