Hey folks! Jon Fosse has just been announced as the recipient of the 2023 Nobel Prize in Literature! For the first time in many years, people can actually say that they've predicted a winner! In this video I react to that announcement and talk about what books of his I'm going to review!
Jon Fosse (born 1959) is a Norwegian author and dramatist. In 2023, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature "for his innovative plays and prose which give voice to the unsayable." He is the most performed Norwegian playwright after Henrik Ibsen. In April 2022, his novel 'A New Name: Septology VI-VII' was shortlisted for the International Booker Prize.
