The Nevada Poetry Out Loud State Finals were hosted on March 11, 2023 in Reno, NV at the Pioneer Center for Performing Arts. Six students competed for their chance to represent Nevada in Washington D.C. for the National Finals.
The competing students were:
Gracee Hwang, Clark County
Ashlee Sandoval, Elko County,
Selene Contreras, Eureka County,
Farrah Bader, Lyon County,
Michael Rees, Storey County,
Rayann Hijazi, Washoe County

The event was hosted by the Nevada Arts Council and emceed by the State Poet Laureate, Gailmarie Pahmeier.
