New Genesis GV60 prices and specs
The Genesis GV60 is now on sale in the UK. This alternative to the likes of Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback, BMW iX3, and Volkswagen ID.5 costs from £47,005.
The new Genesis GV60 is available in three trims: Premium, Sport and Sport Plus. All versions come with a 77.4kWh battery but different choices of electric motor.
The cheapest model – the Premium – costs from £47,005. This means no Genesis GV60 is eligible for the Government’s plug-in car grant. Only cars that cost less than £32,000 currently qualify.
The GV60 Premium comes with a single 228hp electric motor that drives the rear wheels. Combined with the 77.4kWh battery, this gives you up to 321 miles of range. That’s about the same range as you get from a £47,530 Audi Q4 e-tron with a 204hp electric motor.
Genesis GV60 Sport – from £53,605
Sport versions of the GV60 come with dual motors producing a total of 318hp. These cars come with four-wheel drive, but you’ll have to make do with up to 292 miles of range.
That’s almost 30 less range than the entry-level Premium car with a single motor, and about the same distance behind a £47,957 Kia EV6 with the 321hp dual-motor option.
Genesis GV60 Sport Plus – from £65,405
Top-spec GV60 Sport Plus models get a more powerful dual-motor setup that produces a whopping 489hp in total. These lose out on a few miles of range compared with Sport versions, delivering up to 289 miles on a single charge.
They cost almost as much as a Tesla Model Y Performance, but can’t match that car’s 319-mile range.
The new Genesis GV60 gets a classy, uncluttered design with stacked headlights, upturned black bumper trims and a broad black grille.
The GV60 comes with rear-facing cameras instead of conventional door mirrors – just like the ones you get on an Audi e-tron. Flush-fitting door handles are another slick touch, as are the eye-catching alloy wheels, but if that doesn’t stand out enough you could always go for a bright yellow paint job like the car in these photos.
The new Genesis GV60’s interior looks just as modern and slick as its exterior. The two-spoke steering wheel is a neat touch, as is the brushed metal-effect centre console and dashboard trim and (likely optional) bright yellow seat stitching.
Two wide digital screens take care of driver info and entertainment duties, but there are still physical buttons placed around the cabin to access commonly used functions.
