Prior to the virtual 2022 Synthetic Biology Consortium Meeting on December 14th, 2022, NIH hosted a series of breakout sessions focused on specific topics relating to synthetic biology and control theory. This recording is from the breakout hosted on December 5th, 2022 which focused on responses to the pandemic and opportunities for synthetic biology to prepare and recover from a pandemic. This session’s breakout discussion included the development and application of synthetic vaccines, leveraging synthetic biology for therapeutic purposes, and strategies that can be deployed to support health and recovery from a pandemic.
