The opening panel session will focus on a quick update on the status of online and blended learning (e-learning) across Canada. Relevant documents and research will be provided as part of the session (shared in advance and after the session as part of the archives).

From there the panel will discuss several of the pressure points facing e-learning in general and specifically in Canada, of note in BC. We will draw parallels and lessons from across Canada and the US to help inform the implementation of policy, legislation, and funding changes currently underway in most provinces.

We will also share some of the upcoming CANeLearn research initiatives to determine how best to shape CANeLearn's research agenda to meet your needs as leaders and practitioners across Canada. Current initiatives include e-learning class size, design principles, standards, and quality online.
