In this video, we talk with several growers who attended the St George Management Field Day in March 2022 to hear their thoughts on the potential for bankless channel irrigation. The field day showcased work that is occurring over the 2021/22 growing season to assess the efficiency of the siphon-less irrigation system at the St George property, ‘Thuraggi Overflow’. The project is a partnership with the Gwydir Valley Irrigators Association (GVIA), NSW DPI, University of Southern Queensland, Padman Stops and Glenn Lyons. It is also supported by the Australian Government through the Rural R&D for Profit Program.
