After the opening flag raising, Sunday’s Wacipi began with a Junior Men’s Northern Traditional Special in memory of Leland Ray “Donga” Thompson. The afternoon Grand Entry brought hundreds of dancers to the arena and introduced the eagle staff, flags and visiting royalty. The afternoon continued with exhibitions and contests, and ended with tie breakers before the final judging and awards.
