Enjoy a dance training session with Early Dance specialist and BEMF Dance Director Melinda Sullivan. Acclaimed for her work as a performer, choreographer, director, and teacher, Ms. Sullivan will teach a Sarabande—a slow and elegant dance in triple time—and offer an in-depth view of an excerpt of a popular ballroom dance suite, La Bourgogne, choreographed by French dancer and choreographer Guillaume Louis Pécour (1653–1729) and published in 1700. BEMF Dancer Caitlin Klinger and BEMF Young Artists Training Program graduate dancer Alex Meeth assist, while BEMF violinist Sarah Darling provides accompaniment.
