The U.S. Embassy Singapore-ITE Alumni Mentoring Program kick-started its 9th season on April 17 and April 24, 2021. The entire mentor/mentee cohort of 74 participants – 40 Institute of Technical Education (ITE) students and 34 alumni mentors – will participate in a hybrid of in-person and virtual engagements until September 2021, including a newly-added community service activity scheduled for June 2021. The newly revamped alumni mentoring program, conducted in accordance with Government of Singapore’s Safe Management Measures, continues to focus on building the students’ confidence, strengths, and values. The students will also meet with representatives from U.S. companies operating in Singapore – Boeing and Nike – to learn how they have been navigating their journey and overcoming work and personal challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The U.S. Embassy Singapore-ITE Alumni Mentoring Program strengthens relationships with alumni of U.S. government exchanges while providing role models and building resilience in young Singaporeans.
U.S. Embassy Singapore is proud to support the development of future leaders and we hope the program will prove helpful to them in achieving their future goals.
Check out Chargé d'Affaires Rafik Mansour's opening remarks for the launch.
