This is a timelapse video with preparations (till takeoff) for night operations of attack helicopters AH-64A “Apache” and OH-58D “Kiowa Warrior”, during exercise “Night Lightning 2021”. The airport of Alexandroupolis (AXD/LGAL) served as a forward base of operations.

“Night Lightning 2021” is part of a bigger, nation-wide, and large-scale exercise, which takes place annually in Greece with designation “Parmenion 2021”. The exercise takes its name from the Ancient Greek (Macedonian) General Parmenion, who served under King Philip II and Alexander the Great.
