Unfortunately, the new Mercedes-Benz GLE W167 will not have a dipstick in the majority of its engines. Starting in 2020 and up to 2022, Mercedes-Benz got rid of the majority of dipsticks in its engines, which means you will need to use an electronic level check on the screens in the interior of your car.
This seems convenient but the idea of oil level check only after driving for some time is a little crazy. This way, if your engine has critically low level of oil, you will not know about this at least for several minutes till you see the low oil pressure warning light. This can actually damage the engine in many cases.
