2020 saw some big changes on the West Gate Freeway as we continue to widen the freeway from 8 to 12 lanes.
A few of the key milestones for the year:
đź“Ť We replaced two pedestrian overpasses that play an important role connecting local communities on both sides of the freeway.
đź“Ť 10 km of new lanes were built and drivers were shifted onto brand new lanes on the furthest sides of the freeway to allow our crews to continue widening works in the middle of the West Gate Freeway
đź“Ť We upgraded a number of ramps including the Millers Road interchange
