On Friday, October 30, 2020 the National Museum of the American Indian hosted a live, online after-hours event celebrating Dia de los Muertos with cultural and environmental presentations, music, and art. The program included presentations from cultural and scientific experts on monarch butterflies, a studio tour with sculptor and maskmaker Zarco Guerrero, and performances from GRAMMY-winning East L.A. band Quetzal.
