Another year over :0
I can’t believe it’s been 8 months since I first posted a map part on this channel. I grew over 100 subscribers in the past year and have truly found myself through animation, thank you all so much for making that become possible. I owe each and every one of you one for supporting me and encouraging me to continue posting map parts, even when they were god awful.
Quarantine, as much as I hate it, is the reason why I first started showing my animation works to the public and gave me this hobby. I was just some bored child, waiting for something fun to happen in my not very exciting life, and then boom, animation came along. I realized that I could possibly become the next Crowla or Rachel the Rainwing if I started joining maps and animating more often. It was a rocky start at the beginning, with my animation skills horrible and my inability to draw something that even looked like a cat, but I slowly improved, and now I can draw a decent looking feline if I want to. Early 2020 me would probably be shocked at how far I’ve come, or at least I hope so.
This year: I joined far too many maps at one time and stressed myself out on map parts and animations, and I did it on purpose. I hated sitting around doing nothing, and would get mad at myself if I wasn’t working on a map part 24/7. I guess I was just afraid of having time to sit around and relax. If a frame didn’t look right or had a non-straight line, I would become frustrated and sometimes considered giving up on this channel altogether. And with some big things happening in my normal life on top of all of this, I was a pretty stressed out child.
Next year: I will definitely be cutting back on the amount of maps I join and will instead focus on improving my art style and perfecting the few map parts I do. I will also not post map calls randomly and too often, as most of the maps I hosted this year either got cancelled or I just gave up on. Map calls are supposed to be fun, and I shouldn’t be making them at random points without putting much thought into the script and designs. I will also work to improve my discord sever because I love sharing my work and communicating with internet mutuals / friends, and might even do some live streams on the new vr headset I got for Christmas.
