For all the effort put into preparation and presentation, the inaugural season of W Series would stand or fall on the quality of the racing. The arrival of the first race meant is was time to deliver.

Race 1 took place at the renowned Hockenheim and was action-packed, full of drama for all the right reasons: good, tough racing and no mechanical failures.

The inaugural W Series season had begun.
