Mike Hattrup, AMGA certified guide, legendary extreme skier and ski design and developer, was recently named as Fischer Ski's U.S. Backcountry Specialist and Western Territory Manager.
Mike Hattrup now leads up Fischer Ski's backcountry skiing product development, while supporting western regional sales of the Fischer Brand. Mike Hattrup will be working directly with the US and Austrian product teams to build Fischer Ski's backcountry ski business.
Fischer Ski's efforts in backcountry skiing growth has been both innovative and award winning.
Randonee skiing, also known as Alpine Touring (AT), is where skiers hike up with their skis attached, using special ski bindings and ultra lightweight ski boots, then descend. Randonnée skiing is most often a backcountry skiing sport, although some Randonnée ski races take place inside a ski resort boundary.
