The American Bladesmith Society presents the 2017 International Master Smith Knife of the Year by Master Smiths Véronique Laurent (Belgium) and Jean Louis Regel (France). This stunning take-down bowie knife is a rare collaboration knife between two of Europe’s finest Master Smiths, Véronique Laurent and Jean Louis Regel. The blade has a beautiful spider damascus pattern and a unique fuller type groove that not only follows the spine of the blade but defines as it curves the ricasso. Jean Louis Regel made the damascus steel, forged the blade, and made the handle. Véronique did the heat treatment, grinding, and guard/spacer set up on the handle. The sheath was a combined effort.
This outstanding knife will be available on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 10AM in Room# 103 at the ABS Knife Auction during the 2017 Blade Show in Atlanta, GA.
