I was replacing my battery and decided at the last minute to do a quick walk-around of the battery before getting rid of it. The car is a 2015 Mazda3 Grand Touring (Sport) with Technology Package including i-ELOOP regenerative braking technology. This Q-85 battery is the original battery that came with the car. With 37,000 miles and over 5 years of service I was getting warning lights and decided to replace it. The car was still starting fine although the Head's-up Display wasn't working properly.
The dealer wanted $560 to replace the battery with another Q-85 battery. I opted to replace it on my own with an Odyssey Extreme 35-PC1400T AGM battery for $270 instead. The system memory was maintained even though a memory saver tool was not used.
