switched to Flash this year, learned a lot more about animations and shot placement and movement and such, and expanded my horizon a bit to humans and other animals in art!
Next year I want to animate a LOT more humans (I've been practicing them like crazy with figure drawing and just other art, but I want to get to animating them as well!) and hopefully get more original characters, maybe even animate my own short this year heh

So i disappeared from youtube for almost all of January, and now you guys can see what Ive been working on!
This month has been super stressful and I havent had the energy or motivation to do any MAP parts, but now Im gonna get my ass in gear and finish some! I have one due in a few days, and I should be able to get it done since ive started it already
anyways, hopefully this will be done before the end of winter, if possible ;u; the final AMV will be a little over a minute and a half!
I didnt know what to do with the title screen, i was just experiementing and itll mostly likely change, but for now it is what it is pff

this was a ton of fun to do, and I really enjoyed doing the little special effects with fire and such, its been so long since Ive animated things like that, I really should practice more ouo
(Hawkfrosts eyebrows were the best thing Ive animated besides the bootyshake in my Prince Charmless MAP, most definitely)

on a side note with some personal updates, I finally get to go home for Thanksgiving! Its been almost a half year since moving for college, I cant believe how fast everything has gone...

I... still cant figure out how to shade in Toon Boom? I kinda just exported the image and did shading over it and put it over the video in Premiere... and it worked even if it was pretty tedious xD

This project has been in the making for over a year and a half now, but man was it ever worth the wait! All the parts are just AMAZING and the MAP gained so much hype that I couldn’t believe my eyes! This is definitely a personal favorite of my MAPs (who am I kidding? I can never choose a favorite pff) and Ink and I worked super hard on it to bring it to you guys!
So here it is! The complete Loathing MAP!
On a different page, the Loathing MAP was so greatly anticipated that I decided to host a thumbnail contest at the beginning of December, which gained far more attention than I thought it would! With over 60 entries, I had to recruit a few other artists to help me judge, but it was a blast seeing all the amazing entries that came in and I would do it all again, given the chance! The winner is hi-tuvy, and at the bottom of the description I’ll list all the judges and link the journal with all the entries! ;u;
BEFORE YOU ASK QUESTIONS:
-What the diddly do is a MAP?
MAP stands for Multi Animator Project. The host recruits animators to each animate a small part of a song/audio and the whole thing usually tells a story, or has a theme. In this case, it’s the theme of Firepaw’s and Sandpaw’s relationship.
-Why are some of the animations bad and some are really good?
None of these animations are bad whatsoever. However, each animator has a different skill level, and I try to include people of all sorts in my MAPs to add diversity. Some animators are just beginning, while others have been animating for years, or are even professionals! Either way, please don’t say in your comment that you hated someone’s art. Everyone worked really hard in this MAP and many of these parts are a year old, so a lot of people have improved. (If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say it at all, please!)
-Who are the characters?
The characters are Firepaw and Sandpaw for Erin Hunter’s Warrior Cat novel series.
