This was the beginning of an attempt to repair the stereo that I had in my 1990 Chrysler Imperial. Along with repairing it, I was planning on adding a bluetooth module to it as well.
In hindsight, I should have torn the whole thing down and reflowed every solder joint on the board. Instead, the dozens of times that I disassembled and reassembled it caused more and more of the weak solder joints to fail.
The two stereos ended up being put in a box, and put on a shelf where they still sit to this day. That is the fate of many of my projects, sadly. They reach a point where the the frustration level leads them to be shelved until I'm able to get around to it again.
Unfortunately, round tuits are quite hard to come by.
