Shot mostly from Empire Bluff and Sleeping Bear Point ...
both part of the Sleeping Bear Dune National Lakeshore.
I was hoping to see hundreds of boats sail by, but only saw a few : \
love the shimmery sparkly water . . .
this was also my first time shooting with a 500mm(750 w/crop factor!)
and learned
1) use a Heavy Solid tripod
2) turn off stabilization when on tripod, even if you read differently online : \
3) timelapse'ing boats is tricky and a long lens is now, not the first choice
