The Sarasota based La Bomba Krewe makes our annual pilgrimage to the Rubonia Mardi Gras 2011 for a day full of fun, frivolity and celebration. La Bomba attended the Ball dressed in her Audi R-10 TDI ALMS Series RaceCar threads in preparation for her fifteenth consecutive appearance at the 12 Hours of Sebring coming up in a couple of weeks. This was also La Bomba's fifteenth year of running in the Rubonia Parade, a parade which started 32 years ago as a neighborhood lark to celebrate the birthday's of Ruby Begonia and some of her friends, and blossomed into the legendary festival that it is today. The crowds were joyful, the weather was outstanding and the food was plentiful and delicious as always.
