The PEGASYS Awards is an annual video competition and awards ceremony for public, educational and governmental (PEG) access producers in the Ithaca, NY area, that has been organized by staff and volunteers of Ithaca's PEGASYS Community Media Center since 1985. Host of the 2006 Awards is Studio Coordinator Lauren Stefanelli. Producers competed in 7 categories. Winners are: 1. Documentary, Don Bazley/TC3 students; 2. Performing Arts, Jurden Alexander; 3. Comedy/Variety, Peter Berg, Michael Wechsler; 4. Religion/Philosophy, Mark Finkelstein; 5. Short Subject, Paul Smith; 6. News/Magazine, Michael Angley; 7. Public Affairs, Theresa Alt.
