Hello Everyone, and here today we have a car commercial from the past featuring the 2003 Mercury Marauder. The Marauder was a more tough, aggressive and more performance oriented version of the 2003 Ford Crown Victoria. Lets get into specifications of the Marauder shall we?
Mercury revived the Marauder nameplate, last used in 1970, for the 2003 model year. Though, model years only lasted for 2 years as it was from 2003 to 2004 it was available, and only 11,052 units were made.
The only engine available for the Marauder was a specially tuned version of Fords Modular engine. This engine was a 4.6 Liter, DOHC, 8 cylinder engine that produced 302 Horsepower at 318 LB-FT of torque.
The only transmission available for the 2003 Marauder was a 4 speed automatic. Too bad a manual was not offered for the Marauder.
The Marauder came in only a 4 door sedan body style. Rear Wheel Drive was the only layout available.
Base price for the Marauder was $34,495 in 2003, which amounts to $42,682 in 2015, a hefty price to pay.
If you wanted a muscle, tough and aggressive looking vehicle in Rear Wheel Drive, with an American nameplate on it for 2003, then the Mercury Marauder was the vehicle for you.
