This feature story from September, 2005 showcases the nation's largest and perhaps most significant local news film collections-- The KCRA Collection at the Center for Sacramento History. The film was donated to the Center by the station in 1983 through the efforts of its first photographer, Harry Sweet, who saved the film. It contains 10 million feet of news footage, including thousands of stories, series, specials, newscasts, commercials and even outtakes-- spanning 1957-1982.
